Resolution Honoring Bill Randall for his Candidacy for the Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party


Whereas, Bill Randall ran for the office of Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, and

Whereas, Bill Randall, in spite of his best efforts, determination and diligence, was not successful in his election, and 

Whereas, the Wake County GOP acknowledges that its delegation was split on its support of the four candidates for the office of the Chairman, and

Whereas, Bill Randall, from the convention floor, pledged his loyalty and support to the Party by withdrawing his name from the Second Ballot, and

Whereas, the Wake County GOP desires to display its unity and camaraderie in  acknowledging the election of Mayor Fetzer as our duly-elected Chairman, and leader of the Republican Party in the State of North Carolina, and

Whereas, the Wake County GOP desires to communicate its sincere thanks to Bill Randall for his efforts, his manner of campaigning, and his loyalty and dedication to the North Carolina Republican Party,

Resolved, therefore that the Wake County GOP sends its heartfelt and grateful appreciation to Bill Randall for his efforts at running for the Chairmanship of the North Carolina Republican Party.  Resolved further that the Wake County GOP acknowledges Bill Randall’s call for Party Unity, and in the spirit of Party Unity the Wake County Republican Party invites Bill Randall to join with the Wake County Republican Party in sending its hearty Congratulations to Mayor Tom Fetzer for his election as our new Chairman, and our mutual pledge to honor our commitment to work together toward Victory in our upcoming elections.

Adopted by unanimous consent at a special meeting of the Executive Committee of the Wake County Republican Party on this, the 16th day of June, 2009.
