Bill Randall for Congress 2010

In our U.S. Constitution, there is one ...and ONLY ONE thing that the government is to provide:  "The Common Defense."

Yet, there are some who believe that we can have our military take a "back seat" in budget priorities.  With the reckless spending that is taking place in Congress (and encouraged by the Executive branch), it is only a matter of time when the SQUEEZE is put on our Armed Services.

Freedom isn't free!  History has shown us that the guardians and defenders of liberty must remain vigilant if we are to preserve our great Republic.  Tom Brokaw wrote a book titled: "The Greatest Generation."  And while I commend his words of appreciation for those who fought in World War II, I hope we all realize that our men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces (from Korea, through Vietnam, Desert Storm --to the sandy mission regions of Afghanistan and Iraq) ...have and are maintaining the same standard of commitment and excellence.  We owe each and every one our debt of gratitude!

I ask that you view this clip from the movie: "Saving Private Ryan" that depicts the invasion of Normandy (on the French Cherbourg peninsula) on D-Day, World War II:

I say "thank you" to all who are serving (or have served), or are a family member of a veteran.  Your sacrifices and contributions have not been in vain.

Remember"All gave some; some gave ALL!"
