Bill Randall for Congress 2010

The majority of Americans are concerned about the current economic situation.  Our livelihood is being threatened by economic uncertainty.  The so-called "stimulus" bailout has not delivered on keeping unemployment under 8%.

This nation did not become the greatest in the world by accident.  It has been sustained by sound fiscal practices and a free enterprise (capitalistic) system.  Government is not the answer to rebuilding our economy.

When an objective, free-thinking person examines the facts, they come away with very compelling conclusions:

1. The industries experiencing the most problems are the ones most heavily regulated by the government.

2. The financial meltdown of the financial markets were largely the result of government intervention and coercion.  One example was the federal government threatening sanctions against financial institutions that DID NOT loan money to citizens who were high risk (for repayment).  This fallacious mindset carried over into the current "stimulus" bill, which lowered mortgage rates on those who were not making timely payments.  The result:  Many of these "homeowners" defaulted once again.  In essence, the government rewarded bad behavior (by individuals).  In many cases these individuals, having little to no risk in the situation, continued the same behavior.

3. During the 2008 Presidential Campaign, candidate Barack Obama promised over-and-over that 95% of Americans would not see a tax increase under his Administration.  Yet, with all of the things that have already been put in place by Congress and the White House, ordinary Americans are already seeing their take home pay shrink.  And with the "Cap and Trade" bill as well as pending "Health Care Reform" legislation, the American Dream is becoming more and more in jeopardy.

Small to medium-sized businesses are the "backbone" of the American financial engine.  Yet, there has been very little offered to them that will help their growth and expansion.  What we need is a viable alternative to the "Tax and Spend" liberal mentality that exists in Washington D.C.  I, as your next Congressman, intend to offer solutions to our current economic crisis.
